Common questions
Is this really free?
Yes — free for business owners, always. Brokers aren’t paying to be listed or ranked; your matches are based on fit, not fees.
How do you choose which brokers to show me?
We score every broker on state match, industry specialization, deal-size experience, and profile completeness. The top three win. No pay-to-play — brokers can’t pay to be your match.
What does “Request a Confidential Introduction” actually do?
It sends your note to the broker — but not your name or business details until you approve. We hold everything until you confirm. You control every step, and we never share your information without your explicit request.
Do I have to be ready to sell right now?
Not at all. Many owners start exploring 12–18 months out. “Just exploring” is a perfectly valid answer — and a good broker will respect that timeline.
What if there aren’t many brokers in my state?
Some states have fewer members than others. We’ll still show your best available matches — and many brokers work across state lines, especially on larger deals.
How is this different from Googling “business broker near me”?
Google ranks by ad spend and SEO. We rank by fit — industry, deal size, location, and certifications — and we show you what your business is worth before you ever pick up the phone.
How does BizBrokerMatch make money?
We’re free for sellers. Brokers pay us a flat fee only when you request an introduction — never before, and never to rank higher. Separately, a limited number of brokers per state may pay for a clearly-labeled “Featured” spotlight; that never affects, reorders, or influences your personal matches, which are always ranked on fit.
