How BizBrokerMatch makes money

Last updated June 2025

The short answer: we currently don't.

BizBrokerMatch is pre-revenue. We are not charging brokers, sellers, or anyone else right now. We built this site because no independent resource exists for business owners trying to evaluate brokers before signing a listing agreement. We are funding it ourselves while we figure out the right revenue model.

Our pledge — regardless of how we earn revenue

  • Brokers cannot pay for rankings or placement. The order in which brokers appear in search results, match lists, and directory pages is determined entirely by our methodology — not by whether a broker has paid us anything. This rule is permanent.
  • We will never sell your information. Your name, contact details, and business financials are not for sale. We do not have advertising partners, lead brokers, or data resellers. If you use this site to explore selling your business, the only people who will know that are you and us.
  • We will disclose any change before it affects you. If our revenue model changes — paid subscriptions, introduction fees, sponsored content — we will update this page and clearly label any sponsored or promoted content as such.

How we plan to earn revenue

Our planned revenue model is based on optional services that brokers and sellers can pay for — never on selling data or changing rankings:

Confidential introductions

When a seller requests to be introduced to a specific broker through BizBrokerMatch, we plan to charge a flat fee per accepted introduction. The fee is paid by the broker, not the seller. Sellers always use BizBrokerMatch free. Brokers who decline or ignore introductions are not charged.

Verified Broker subscription

We plan to offer an optional paid tier for brokers who complete our full verification process (license check, reference review, interview). Verified brokers receive a distinctive badge and a reduced introduction fee. Payment never changes ranking position — only the verification badge.

What we will never do

  • Sell your contact information to brokers, lead aggregators, or anyone else
  • Allow brokers to pay for better placement, higher scores, or more visible profile positions
  • Publish sponsored broker profiles without clearly labeling them as sponsored
  • Pass your business details to a broker without your explicit approval
